We could not confirm whether Chai generates photos or video inside a chat. That isn't a claim that it can't. Still, check their site, because for anyone searching for a companion this is the factor that matters most.

Here's how the loop runs. In her chat, tap the media button, then Send Photo, and describe the scene in your own words, the way you'd text it. About 20–45 seconds later the photo arrives. This is the feature I'd single out, and it's the row where Chai stays blank for us. A companion who keeps the same face from the first photo to the fiftieth is the whole point. Checking it takes about a minute: open a chat, read her first message, and ask for that first photo.

How far Chai's memory reaches, we could not confirm. You can test it yourself, though. Give a bot one specific detail, like your shift pattern or a trip you're planning, then come back a few days later and ask about it. If it can't recall that, it isn't a companion.

Then there's Series, which adds story between chats. These are GoLove's own 18+ vertical short dramas: 5 series and 32 episodes as of 2026-10-12, including "My AI Girlfriend" and "She Streams on My Platform". GoLove says new episodes arrive weekly. Under the player, "Start Chatting" opens the cast. You meet her in a story and then talk to her directly, and that's a clever bridge most companion apps never think to build.
Q: Do all Series episodes cost nothing? No. Episodes 1–2 are free, even without an account. After that you need PRO plus a few Stars per episode.
The video generator runs on preset cards. Pick an action, clothes and a background, then tap Generate. It works with any GoLove character or one you built, and on the Feed, Remix opens the generator with a clip's character and settings already loaded.

Heavy media use also draws on Stars beyond the monthly 100. Character.AI gives you free chat and polished native iOS/Android apps. If all you want is SFW roleplay at no cost, it's an easy yes, and paying more here isn't worth it for you.
